Our suggestion for 15 days:

Flight to Djanet. Visit of the palm grove and night in Djanet.
From the start, we’ll dive into the meanders of the plateau’s ramparts, surprising landscapes of sculpted rocks and dunes constantly reborn. We’ll trek at the bottom of the Essendilène Canyon.

After visiting the guelta, surrounded by rose-bays, we’ll start to climb the impressive Akba Tin Taradjeli to reach the plateau, black and barren. From the oued of Dider, we’ll reach Tin Teghert, where we’ll admire the gravures, then we’ll discover the two superposed gueltas of Assar. We’ll cross the dry plateau of Fadnoun until Tasset, rich decorum of eroded mountains which hide beautiful paintings.Then we’ll go down to Afara, guarded by giant warriors of rocks.

We’ll go to admire the paintings of Ifadaniouen, before joining the oasis of Tamadjert, its huge gueltas and its numerous paintings. We leave the Tassili. In front of us, around two dark rocks, the high dunes of the Erg Tihodaine. We’ll follow it until Tafassasset, immense oued which waters flowed before until the lake Tchad.

After having explored the region of Tazat and climbed the dunes of Tin Mouna and Tin Abaro, we’ll follow the bed of Tafassasset until the Erg Admer. We’ll camp among the high dunes where we’ll be able to admire the splendor of the sunset.
We’ll cross the dunes of Erg Admer from Ouest to East to reach the site of Tegharghart and its unforgettable gravures. Going straight to the Tassili’s cliff, we’ll camp at Akba Aroum’s feet.

Then, the prehistoric site of Jabbaren, where are gathered thousands of paintings. Early in the morning, climbing of akba Aroum (600 m high) and visit of the sites. In the afternoon, trek down of the Akba by foot and return by car to Djanet.
